Why handmade, handcrafted soap?
For starters, making handcrafted soap is an addicting hobby. Being able to pick and choose the ingredients that will go into a batch of natural soap is an adventure in itself. But getting to use the bar and discover the amazing qualities it has, all because of the ingredients that were selected, is awesome! What's more, the range of pleasing scents and skin-friendly qualities found in a bar of natural, handcrafted soap leaves commercially made soap in the dust!
Making natural soap completely by hand takes a lot of time and effort, but gives us incredible quality control over the finished soap bars. We take great pride in our natural soaps and in the fact that our hands are involved in every last soap making step! This includes the creation of the soap recipe- selecting just the right vegetable oils, butters and essential oils to create natural bar soaps with the qualities we're seeking. It involves weighing, measuring, heating and blending all the natural soap ingredients. Finally, it requires the pouring and cutting of our natural soap bars, and weeks of anticipation ensuring they cure and dry to perfection. Our completely handcrafted natural soaps represent the best of natural handcrafted soap making techniques.
But, couldn't a commercial soap company just use natural ingredients and come up with awesome natural soap, too?
They could, but it would cost them more money and take more effort. Commercial companies are interested in profit margins and quick production, and must sacrifice quality for quantity. They find the added expense of natural soap ingredients and the extra care that natural ingredients require to be quite unattractive to their bottom line. Additionally, natural ingredients have shorter shelf lives than their synthetic counterparts, and must be handled more delicately. Commercial companies just don't want those hassles. These challenges don't bother us at all because our natural soap making goals are different than those of the large manufacturers.

Our handcrafted natural soap business began with the formulation of our signature olive oil soap recipe.
Years ago, we balanced olive oil with coconut and palm oil to create a natural bar soap that was not only ultra-conditioning and emollient (as great olive oil soaps should be), but was also lusciously lathering and hard. We called it our "Lusciously Lathering, Bubbly Bar of Goodness For Your Skin." This natural soap recipe has become the springboard to all of our naturally adventurous, handcrafted soap creations.
That recipe is now adventurously tweeked with scents, nourishing oils, butters and botanicals to make dozens of new and exciting natural soap creations. We embrace the challege of selecting the right combination of pure essential oils, natural isolates and botanicals from Mother Nature's pantry to get that perfectly balanced scent and color. We don't make "natural soap" and then scent it artificially as many of our so-called "natural soap competitors" do. Our soaps are natural, through and through! Limiting ourselves to natural ingredients opens the door to new discoveries and an even more creative soapmaking adventure. It makes it that much more challenging to create balanced recipes that are beautiful and pleasing to use.
You see, every batch of our handcrafted soap is an attempt to create that illusive perfect bar of natural handcrafted soap. We believe we've found success several times over! Our signature, creamy and dreamy olive oil soap recipe is a great all-around, all-skin types bar. Our Triple Buttercream Bar Soap is loaded with lather, and leaves you feeling luxuriously moisturized. Unruly Sweet Almond Shea is our latest new formula, with great big fluffy bubbles, and a wonderful slippery-smooth feel in the hand. All of our soaps leave your skin gently cleansed, moisturized and incredibly soft. In fact, we hear often from our customers that their skin no longer needs lotion to feel soft and smooth.
