Olive Oil Soap

Olive Oil has been used since antiquity as a mild and gentle cleanser. Natural soap made with olive oil retains these qualities, but offers the added benefit of a lovely, soft, creamy lather.

Natural Soaps made with olive oil are called by many names. Castile soap, named for the Castile region of Spain, is traditionally 100% olive oil soap. It tends to be soft and somewhat slimy, and lacks the bubbles that we at The Natural Bar Soap Company crave.

Savon de Marseille refers to olive oil-blend soaps made in the hot-process milled tradition of the Marseille region of France.

Bastille soaps contain a large percentage of olive oil in their formulae, but include other oils to improve the properties of the finished bar soap.

Our Bastille-type olive oil soaps are blended with sustainable palm oil and coconut oil to create long lasting, firm bars with an abundance of creamy, luscious bubbles. We offer an olive oil soap that is hypoallergenic and fragrance free, as well as many varieties that contain pure essential oils, Certified 100% natural fragrance oils and/or dried botanicals for beautiful scents and textures.
